Common questions
How do I log a service?
Open your vehicle and tap the service item, for example Oil change. Check the date and odometer, add the cost and notes if you like, and tap Save.
When will I get a reminder?
Each item has a distance, a number of days, or both. Oilmark reminds you at 9 am on the day the first one is expected to run out, whichever comes first.
Why is the odometer an estimate?
Oilmark uses your recent odometer updates to work out how far you drive each day. Update the odometer from your dashboard now and then to keep reminders accurate.
My odometer was replaced and now reads lower. What do I do?
Enter the new reading. Oilmark asks you to confirm, then treats it as a reset and keeps your service schedule on track.
How do I change the service schedule?
Open your vehicle and swipe left on a service item, then tap Edit to change its interval, or Delete to remove it. Tap Add service item to add your own.
I do not get notifications.
Open the iPhone Settings app, tap Notifications, choose Oilmark and turn on Allow Notifications.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose Oilmark. It shows the vehicle you opened last.
I bought the unlock. How do I get it back on a new iPhone?
Open Settings in Oilmark and tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with.
Is my data backed up?
Your vehicles are saved on your device. They are included in your normal iPhone backup. Deleting the app deletes your vehicles.
